Kyle joined the Cashiers Historical Society in February 2018. He has always had an interest in all types of History and studied it extensively. An Alum of Western Carolina University, Kyle holds his Masters of Arts degree in American History with a concentration in U.S. Civil War History. His masters thesis was on U.S. Civil War foreign policy and diplomacy. Currently, Kyle leads the CHS office, oversees the Jane Nardy Archives, helps plan events, and assists in managing the Zachary-Tolbert House Museum and historic grounds, as well as investigating avenues to further the CHS mission locally and abroad.
Administrative and Development Coordinator
Zach started at CHS in May 2018 as an intern. Zach graduated from Western Piedmont Community College with an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice Technologies in 2016. After Western Piedmont, he transferred to Western Carolina University, where he will graduate in May of 2019 with a B.S. in History. At Western, Zach rediscovered his love for history, especially local history. In January 2019, he was promoted to Administrative and Development Coordinator where he will be assisting with event planning, providing tours at the Z-T House Museum, managing mailings for CHS. as well as coordinating volunteer opportunities. His hobbies include hunting, fly-fishing, golfing and following sports.
