Health and Safety Measures -
as of July 12, 2020
As an organization committed to serving our community, Showhouse operations have been tailored to remain in compliance with health and safety measures set forth by the state of North Carolina. Ensuring the well-being of every single guest and volunteer is our top priority.
With that in mind, below please find an update on the Showhouse and its myriad of events. We are sharing the actions we are taking to support social distancing, minimize large gatherings, and keep the health and safety of our community top of mind. In anticipation of the Governor's next announcement on our state's reopening plans, CHS plans to release another update on July 20 regarding further changes to our annual fundraising event.

Hours
-
Showhouse hours will be 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We kindly ask that the 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. hour be dedicated to seniors and immunocompromised individuals.
-
The Showhouse will be closed on Mondays.

Ticketing
-
For the first time, we are offering timed daily tickets available for purchase online. Advance and timed tickets are encouraged and will reduce queues onsite for a safe and enhanced experience. Typically we also sell tickets at retail locations but we will not provide that option unless COVID-19 trends improve.

PPE, Sanitation, and Social Distancing
-
Face masks will be required by ALL volunteers and visitors.
-
Volunteers and visitors will have their temperature taken by no-touch thermometers upon arrival.
-
All vulnerable hard surfaces will undergo a deep cleaning with antibacterial cleaners each day, with special attention to doorways and doorknobs, counters, handrails, etc.
-
Shuttles onsite will be cleaned between rides and will have limited capacity.
-
Dedicated hand sanitization stations will be available throughout the property as well as inside the onsite shuttle.
-
Social distancing will be implemented and indicated by decals and signage throughout the property.

Special Events
-
At this time, besides our canceled Opening Night Party, all in-person tours and special events remain scheduled and will be in strict compliance with the above health and safety measures and all guidance mandated by the state of North Carolina. However, we understand the situation is unfolding. Again, CHS plans to make an announcement on July 20 regarding further changes to operations.

Lunch
-
Historically we have been very pleased to offer lunch options to our patrons. We have been extremely fortunate to have incredible support from local dining establishments this year. At this immediate time, we do not know if we will have the in-house resources or capabilities to manage this offering. An update on lunch will be included in our next update.
