Village Heritage Award

Congratulations to the Cashiers Valley Community Center – winners of the 2011 Village Heritage Award!

Each year the Cashiers Historical Society and the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce partner to select the business or individual who has preserved a historic building or site in a manner that best represents the unique village character of our community. Chairman Bob Bryan comments, “The recipient is presented the Village Heritage Award at the annual November Chamber Banquet at High Hampton. The following summer a formal unveiling reception of the installed award plaque is held on site where the recipient is again thanked and recognized.” The Village Heritage Award actively promotes the “Adaptive Reuse” of Cashiers’ beautiful civic and commercial sites.
